Who are we ?

Bioligo is based in Nyon (Switzerland) and for half a century has been writing the history of global oligotherapy.

Through the use of natural ingredients selected with the greatest rigor, the development of original formulas, and unique know-how, the company has established itself as a reference among health professionals in Switzerland and Europe.

And we put our heart into it!

The pioneers of Oligotherapy

  • Oligos means "in very small quantities" in Greek, and trace elements are very small doses of minerals used in trace amounts. Oligotherapy is the therapeutic use of trace elements in physiological dosages and in ionized (i.e., liquid) form.

Their therapeutic use has a long tradition, the scientific foundations of which were laid at the beginning of the 20th century by Dr. Sutter, who identified that an ionized solution of copper and manganese could cure one in two soldiers suffering from tuberculosis and accelerate the healing of wounds.

  • Dr. Ménétrier took over these studies and confirmed the effectiveness of this therapy by developing the concept of diathesis (predisposition to disease), which he used as his doctoral thesis. He thus established four areas: arthritic-allergic, hyposthenic, dystonic and anergic, which serve as the basis for diagnosis.

In the 1970s, based on 50,000 clinical cases, Dr. Picard gradually extended the scope of oligotherapy to rheumatism, with 85% positive results which have been the subject of numerous publications. (See “Treating rheumatism, the way
    natural and effective”, CRAO Editions).

Global Oligotherapy

  • In 1977, Michel Deville organized a series of conferences in Switzerland for rheumatologists, to which he invited Dr. Picard. Enthusiastic about the effectiveness of the treatment, they nevertheless observed that its implementation remained complex, as each trace element (14 preparations) had to be administered separately and several times a day. He then had the idea of combining them and developed three synergies of trace elements. This development has further improved the results. Indeed, the synergistic effect coupled with the simplification of the treatment leads to better follow-up on the part of patients.

  • Pair text with an image to focus on your chosen product, collection, or blog post. Add details on availability, style, or even provide a review.

  • With this experience, he decided to apply the same reasoning in other areas and created, over the years, more than 20 therapeutic synergies that he experimented with throughout his practice as an oligotherapist.

He set up training courses for health professionals and taught the method for many years. He published numerous works in the field with CRAO.
